Logistics service provider BLG had the routes and physical stress of its employees analyzed using “motion mining” at its car terminal in Hamburg. In doing so, the Bremen-based company discovered undiscovered potential in its logistics processes.

The logistics service provider BLG Logistics Group, together with the Dortmund-based company MotionMiners, has analysed the work processes at its location in Hamburg. BLG operates a car terminal in the Hanseatic city, which handles around 150,000 vehicles annually. In addition, BLG provides various value-added services on site, such as tire tests and engine checks.

Sascha Feldhorst, one of the founders and managing directors of MotionMiners GmbH from Dortmund, develops sensors and solutions for tailor-made process analyses — based on movement profiles of people and machines.
